Magnolia Table Cookbook Banana Bread + Friday Things

Banana bread is one of my favorite things in the world to eat. My mom made it a lot growing up, and that warm, sweet, banana taste always reminds me of home. However, when I have attempted my own banana bread, I have failed. Miserably. Pretty much every time. The bread would always come out either super dry and crumbly, more like a cake than that gooey, moist bread you want (I know people hate that word, sorry, you have to use it when describing banana bread). Or it would be the opposite and be pretty much raw in the…

Thursday Things

The kids are both down in bed (only one of them is technically sleeping, but I’ll still take it as a win). The house is clean. The dishes have been done. And I am feeling good. Partly because Bobby FINALLY slept through the night last night (for the first time in WEEKS). Partly because once the kids were asleep I had a home-cooked dinner in the crockpot ready to go (Skinny Taste pork Bahn Mi rice bowls, one of our favorites) and a glass of wine. Tuesday Tangents + Magnolia Table Cookbook Challenge

Hi everyone! We are enjoying some gorgeous weather over here today. The next few days are going to be in the 80s, with it possibly getting to 90 on Thursday(!), and I am going to try to get outside as much as possible with the kiddos. Weekend Recap

Happy Monday everyone! I hope you all had lovely weekends. Despite a family cold making the rounds, we still managed to squeeze some fun in over the last few days. Friday evening R and I had a date night because we had tickets to Rent. Beforehand we headed to The Hof for rooftop dinner and drinks. It’s a really cool space right in Scott’s Addition, and I am always in favor of rooftops and beer gardens, particularly when they are combined. We got some sausage sandwiches and pretzels to snack on. While everything was yummy, I…

Friday Five

[For some reason, even though I published this post on Friday, it totally disappeared for a few days so I had to republish, apologies!] Hi friends! Hope you all survived the week and have some wonderful weekend plans in store! R and I are going to go see Rent tonight (!!), and even though I’m running on an average of 4 hours of sleep a night right now (Baby cold = Bobby waking up multiple times at night = tired mama), I am SO excited. Rent was the first Broadway show I ever saw, way back on my high school senior…
