Tuesday Tangents

So apologies for some of these blog post titles. I am the worst with titles/headlines (as you probably already gathered) so just fall back on the tried and true.

Regardless, here are some Tuesday tangents for today!

I got these lovelies in the mail a couple of days ago from Seventh Street Market. She has a great Insta shop. LOVE the bright colors in both of them, the gold leaf in the abstract floral, and of course all the OYSTERS 🙂 I am not an art expert or connoisseur by any means. My art buying philosophy is pretty much, is it affordable and does it bring me joy when I look at it? If the answer to both is yes, then I’m sold 🙂 I ordered these gorgeous, custom, handmade gold bamboo frames from Etsy’s The Frame Market and I can’t wait for them to get in so I can hang these.

aGrKqZWUTnOSZAPAsGEw8QAnother super exciting package on my doorstep was Joanna Gaines’ Magnolia Table: A Collection of Recipes for Gathering cookbook that just came out today! I have made her orange zest scones a couple of times, and they are seriously one of the yummiest things I’ve ever made. I made them for Christmas, for a family brunch, and to bring to a friend and all three times the whole batch got scarfed down in a matter of hours. So I can’t wait to try out her other recipes. Here are a few I’m super excited about:

I also got the new Southern Living in the mail (boy do we keep the mailman busy around here), and I love the bright, fresh cover. I can’t wait to dive into it the next time I have a few quiet moments (so in like 5 years?)

K friends, keeping it short and sweet this evening. Off to go watch The Sopranos (our new show since finishing Wild Wild Country, which I have SO many thoughts on but will save for another time). Hope you all have a great night!
